If you’re like me, you were always told as a child to stand up straight and sit up straight.

Whether we were sitting at the dinner table or a school desk, standing for the Pledge of Allegiance, or just walking from point A to point B, our parents and teachers demanded good posture.

Good posture was a sign of respect and alertness, while poor posture was a sign of laziness and apathy. However, good posture is also directly tied to good health.
